An interesting game for Brescia (20-7) which hosted in Brescia 4th placed Umana Venezia (17-10). First ranked Brescia managed to get a 6-point victory 90-84. It was a great evening for Croatian center Miro Bilan (213-1989) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. Semaj Christon helped adding 15 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Canadian power forward Mfiondu Kabengele (207-1997, college: FSU) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Umana Venezia's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brescia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-7 record. Venezia at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Brescia will play against Cremona (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Venezia will play against Treviso (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Pesaro managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Pistoia 89-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pistoia. It was an exceptional evening for Andrea Cinciarini who led the winners and scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Derek Ogbeide came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for Pistoia in the defeat. Pesaro (9-18) moved-up to fifteenth place. Newly promoted Pistoia keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Trento. Pesaro will meet higher ranked Tortona (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pistoia will play against Brindisi and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 27: Cremona was beaten by Virtus on the road 93-85. Reggio Emilia won against Brindisi on its own court 74-66. Milano managed to outperform Treviso in a road game 91-89. Napoli managed to beat Sassari at home 88-79. Varese was defeated by Scafati on the opponent's court 102-90.
The most impressive performance of 27th round was 25 points and 10 rebounds by Kruize Pinkins of Scafati.
