I am truly excited to inform everyone that I have embarked upon this new and promising journey of MBA at Alliance Manchester Business School, U.K. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported me throughout the application process and had an unwavering faith in my abilities.I am forever indebted to my parents who have always been my pillars of strength and my biggest source of inspiration. With one week at AMBS already gone by, it becomes compelling and imperative to reflect upon my learnings from the past endeavours.1.Movement is synonymous to life. Run, walk or crawl as your circ*mstances may be, but don’t stop. Every step taken is a step closer to your goal.2.Nishkama Karma (a wisdom from Bhagavad Gita), or desireless action is a very potent tool in today’s world of endless expectations and desires. Sometimes, the journey itself is the real prize as wisdom from it can be a lifelong asset.3.Resilience and the ability to build back better become truly critical when being driven by ambition and challenges in life.4.Having a vision of what you want to do is much more credible than a vision of what you want to be in life. Many a times, there are numerous paths that lead to our goals in life. We just need to have the open mindset to see it.5.Self-belief is like an antidote to self-inflected doubts and suffering in life. No one else can do this for you.While life has been unexpectedly challenging in the last few years, I am humbled by the magnanimity and vastness of opportunities to seek optimism and inspiration at the same time. "Life is a long hard Alps Marathon rather than a 100m Dash."🎓 From Below Average Student to Master's Graduate: My Journey of Perseverance!During my school days, I was far from being a straight-A student. In fact, I was struggling with one or two subjects almost every term starting from class 4 😅, and it seemed like success was just out of reach. It was a tough period, and I often questioned my abilities and felt disheartened by the constant setbacks.But life has a way of surprising us! 💫 Through sheer determination and perseverance, I gradually turned things around. I sought help from teachers, studied harder than ever before, and refused to give up on my dreams. Slowly but steadily, my grades started to improve, and I gained confidence in my abilities.The journey didn't end there, though. The path to my master's degree was filled with challenges and obstacles, but I remained resolute. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed, and doubts crept in, but I pushed forward. During stage 1 of my 3-stage Henley MBA, I was prompted to think deeply about my career trajectory so far. Each stage of the MBA has a personal development (PD) component and stage 1 sets the scene. For my PD assignment, I wrote about living an intentional life and creating an intentional career. I didn't know where I would end up, I'm still unclear, but I knew the work I needed to do to get there. I defined my career goals. I didn't put timelines against it because I didn't want to put unnecessary pressure on myself, but I defined my proverbial north star. One of my favourite characteristics of myself is that I'm relentless in my pursuits. It took a lot of introspection to identify what I'm good at, what I enjoy, what gives me energy, what drains me, what environments I thrive in, what traits hold me back from success, what motivates me, what legacy I want to leave. I have long believed that I didn't know where I would be in 10 years never mind 5, but I have a general direction and clarity in my skill set. These are not easy questions to answer and maybe the answers will be different in the future. I challenge you to undertake to live intentionally, consciously, purposefully, and meaningfully. It's scary, no lies, and there were many moments of existential crisis. But to know who I am coupled with how I want to contribute to the world is a superpower I didn't know I needed. #careerdevelopment #careergrowth #learning #onwardsandupwards

Lately, I've come to realize that my Father Taught Me an MBA!Growing up under the guidance of a strong, self-made father, I've adopted his working principles in various aspects of my life and career – and it's been an incredible journey. Here is how,Despite not having formal education beyond O-level, my father's wisdom and approach to life are priceless. As a farmer, he demonstrated the power of effective planning, setting goals, and measuring results. Every year, he always outlines his objectives and carefully accounts for revenue during harvest season, teaching me the value of setting and achieving goals.His life lessons were about responsibility, fairness, and hard work. I've learned that success doesn't come solely from being smart or idealistic– it also involves early mornings and taking action toward your goals. Checked off on one of the many! ✅ 🎓 .This is a journey post indeed…The weird ladder that I’m on is realllyyyyyyy going to go a long way. And I know that.
