That's right folks — McDonald's iconic Shamrock Shake is back for the season.
And, if that news doesn't have you jumping for joy higher than when the fast food giant launched a limited edition Chips Ahoy Caramel McFlurry (if you know, you know), then, PSA: you're wrong.
Come back when your taste buds work better.
McDonald's Shamrock Shake and Shamrock McFlurry return for 2024
The Shamrock Shake officially returned to McDonald's menu on February 5. Accompanied by its seasonal sibling, the Shamrock McFlurry, the neon treat is the Golden Arches's yearly ode to St. Patrick's Day.

Coming in three sizes — and ranging from 460 to 800 calories — the mint-flavored shake comes topped with whipped cream and a cherry. It's softy and milky, and slurps easily through a straw.
The McFlurry, on the other hand, is more of a spoonable ice cream than a beverage, and features crushed Oreos blended in (unless you're from Florida, where the servers don't give a damn and just pile the cookies on top).
How long will the Shamrock Shake be available?
Now, if you're sitting there thinking this remarkable comeback is a little premature? You're right. Last year, the Shamrock Shake didn't return until February 20.
But, hey — the groundhog already said winter's over, and nothing spells spring like America's favorite luminous dessert.
So, grab your short sleeves, appetite and friends who aren't weirded out by ice cream that looks like Nickelodeon slime. The Shamrock Shake (and the less-impressive McFlurry) will be available nationwide through Sunday, March 17.
