SENSE OF HUMOUR
You’ve heard it before and you will hear it againbecause it’s very much true… all women like a man who can make them laugh. You don’t have to be the next Seth Rogen, but the ability to find humour in situations and in yourself is highly attractive. This is especially true for women looking to make a long-term commitment to a man. Generally, however, steer clear of the crass jokes – those are best saved for when you’re with yourfriends!
FAITHFULNESS
No woman wants to be cheated on or ditched at the drop of a hat – this much is obvious. As women, attachment is a biological imperative, feeding into our maternal instincts. We need to feel assured that you are going to stick around for the long haul.
CONFIDENCE
Socially, sexually and emotionally, this applies to every area of life. There is nothing better than a man who can be bold, take control and feels totally secure in his own skin. Combine this confidence with charisma and you are onto a winner.
INTELLIGENCE
No, this doesn’t mean that you have to be able to recount the Battle of Gettysburg from memory, but women look for a man whocan hold a conversation at the very least. It’s also a major plus point if a man is socially intelligent. A trait usually more evidentin women, this means being able to read a situation, pick up on the subtext and communicate accordingly.
DRIVE AND PURPOSE
It really is a sad truth when a man’s sole priority and focus is his girlfriend or the girl he is chasing. The relationship is doomed because there is nothing inspiring abouta man who has nothing else going on in his life. On the reverse, there is nothing sexier than a man who has real goals and a life outside of the relationship.
INDEPENDENCE
This plays into the idea of drive and purpose. Women love a man who is totally his own, and doesn’t have to depend on other people. If you can’t survive as a one-some, you shouldn’t be in a relationship. Period.
KINDNESS
Previously on The Gentleman’s Journal we have asked the question, why do all women love bad boys? It seems that through time, and propelled by the media, there is an assertion that women crave a man whowill treat them badly. Rest assured, if this is the desire, it’s fleeting. When it comes to the long term, all women want a man whowill be kind to them and others.
PASSION
I mean this one is pretty obvious, right?Passion, good. Apathy, bad.
