What size is size 4 nappies? ›

Size 2 (3-6kg 7-13lbs) Size 3 (4-9kg 9-20lbs) Size 4 (7-18kg 15-40lbs) Size 4 Plus (9-20kg 20-44lbs)

For example, a size 4 diaper's weight range is between 22 and 37 pounds, a size 5 diaper's weight range is over 27 pounds, and a size 6 diaper's weight range is above 35 pounds.

For babies who drink a lot or for babies that have larger bladders and therefore produce more urine – you can pick up nappies with boosted absorbency (e.g. 4+, 5+, 6+). These nappies are still exactly the same size but can hold more liquid.

When you're securing your baby's nappy, if the sticky fastening tabs don't quite reach the centre of the waistband, the nappy is too small! For the perfect fit, the nappy should be snug but you should be able to comfortably fit two fingers under the waistband of the fastened nappy.

While it's important to keep in mind that all babies are different, we recommend our size 5 nappies from approximately 11kg or 24lbs, which for most children is around the age of 18 months.

If your baby has red marks along their thighs, that's a telltale sign that the diapers are too snug. The elastic around the leg should have some stretch, but if the diaper is too small, it won't fit properly and will create these red marks. This is definitely a time to move up a size in diapers.

Should a child still be in nappies at 4? ›

Most children will complete toilet training and be ready to stop using diapers between 18 and 30 months of age,1 but this certainly isn't the case for all kids. Some children are not fully out of diapers until after the age of 4.

Slide the opened nappy underneath by carefully lifting your baby's legs, then pull the front of the nappy between the legs and over the belly. If you are using disposable nappies, secure the sticky tabs. If you're using reusable nappies, put a liner in and then fasten the nappy.

A: The 4t is for toddlers and the 4 is a regular size kids, normally are for children ages 5. Not very much difference except the regular 4 is a little larger or longer.
