Sort and Purge

Clean Everything

Wash any baby bottles in warm, soapy water.

Make Boxes Easy to Find

Stuffed animals also make excellent padding. Put the wrapped up baby bottles in boxes first, then fill the empty spaces between bottles with stuffed animals.
Label the boxes as “fragile” and place them at the top of the stacks in the storage facility. Keep baby bottle nipples in the same boxes as the baby bottles, to make unpacking easier when the time comes.
Disassemble Toy Furniture Before Placing in Storage
Whether you’re storing a toddler-sized chair or a chest that holds baby toys, furniture takes up a lot of room.Disassemble anything that can be taken apart. Place all screws and furniture pins in a baggie and attach the baggie to the disassembled pieces.
Place the pieces in a box, or lean the pieces against the wall of your storage unit. To prevent the pieces from becoming scratched, wrap them in a baby blanket or in furniture pads.
If you’re concerned about your ability to reassemble the furniture when it’s time to put it back together, make a video of yourself taking the furniture apart. Watching this will help jog your memory when you’re ready to use the furniture again.
